Security Process to work Air-side at Airports

It can take up to 6 weeks to collect all the documents and detail required to obtain a security pass to work air-side at the airport. This is why if you are short listed we will start the process before an offer is made.

Please note that no offer of employment with the Cloud to work at an airport can be confirmed until a security pass has been secured.

The Security Pass Process

You will have to provide full details and documents to prove what you have been doing or where you have been working over the preceding 5 years or from the age of 16, whichever is the shorter period.

This means detailed employment references from previous employers, to include accurate dates of employment and reasons for leaving – these must be submitted on the relevant company headed paper with an address and phone number and the job title of the person giving the reference. Our office manager will contact you for names and addresses of referees.

If you have been self-employed wholly or in part, during any of the periods covered by the check, written confirmation of the dates of the periods must be obtained from independent accountants, solicitors and/or from the relevant government department or agency. This confirmation must be on headed paper with an address and phone number and the job title of the person giving the reference. You will be responsible for providing this information to our office manager.

If you have been registered unemployed wholly or in part, during any of the periods covered by the check, verification of such periods has to be obtained in writing from the relevant government department or agency .

If you have lived and or worked outside the UK for 6 months or more wholly or in part, during any of the periods covered by the check, you will need to obtain the equivalent of a Criminal Record Check from the relevant county. For further information contact our office manager.

In addition all applicants will need to complete a Criminal Record check and complete on-line GSAT Training (General Security Awareness Training).
